Darrell Malick I just tried AlwaysOnPc on my iPhone using Chrome.

I had tried it before on the old site and it worked nicely. This is important because the browser keeps certain data in its cache from session to session, and that cached data caused some problems with the new site:

At first, the screen was very messed up. This is caused by browser cache.

I opened the keyboard and hit the “shift” key and then hit the “reload” button on the browser. This clears the cache and the page loaded and works perfectly after that.

I started solving Training System problems and ran into another small problem - after making a wrong move, there was no “Back” or “Reload.” This is the same browser cache problem on a different page. Again, shift-refresh solves it and should only have to be done once.

pietrosperoni Hi Darrell, I looked into this software but haven't installed it yet. I have to admit I am a bit reticent as it looks like it gives you a sort of use of a far away computer. And then you install all your programs there. But what makes me unsure are the topics of privacy. For example if I put my dropbox password in the software, I have no assurance the owners of the software would not use it to have access to personal files I have.

Of course for the Guo Juan site is no big deal. At the worse I lose an 150 euro investment. But I still would like get some assurance on how it works from the programmers.

On the other side, have you considered using html5? That should work well both on PC and mobile.

Darrell Malick Hi Pietro,

I understand. Privacy is something to be concerned about any time you are using a computer. However, you don't need to install ANYTHING on the virtual computer. You just use the web browser on it to access this website. I would NOT enter MY dropbox password in there. I can't think of any reason why you would even want to.

This site is already using HTML 5. Yes, it's supposed to work. *Supposed* to. We will eventually get this site to work on tablets - we're determined. But if you don't want to wait, this is just an option.

Ethelor I have used AlwaysOnPC for playing on KGS on my ipad and it works quite well. The only problem is that sound doesnt start working until half way through a game. I dont mind that so much though.
