Turn-based Go Games

Turn-based gaming is an asynchronous way of playing games. The players do not need to be present or to be playing at the same time. Instead each player can make moves when they have time for it. Examples of turn-based go are playing go via snail-mail, via email, or on the Dragon Go Server.

A single move does not require a lot of time so it can be played without having to sit an hour or more for the game to finish. As a result, a game can run for a couple of weeks or even months. The pupil can decide for how long the game will run. But as each move does not need a lot of time, this way of playing Go is ideal for people who do not have enough time to play an entire game in one session.

There are various methods for this turn-based go, but we use the Dragon Go Server, a server easy to use and accessible from everywhere as the only thing needed to play is an internet browser.
