Guo Juan 5p

Born in 1960. She began learning Go when she was 9 years old, started to train for professional at the age of 13. She became a professional in 1977. From 1978, she joined the China National Team and trained there for 5 years. She became 5dan in 1985. Her best result in China national championship was 5th place. In 1990, she moved to the Netherlands with her son. She has played for more than 15 years in tournaments in Europe and has won most of them. She started to teach and promote Go immediately after she had moved to Europe. In 1996, she established Guo Juan’s Go School. She teaches Go on/offline world wide and has enormous experience in teaching and communicating with western Go players. Currently she lives in Amsterdam.
