| Buri | This is a wonderful lecture. I wish all lower kyuu level players like myself would watch it. Since I play at this level I find most of the time opponents want to attack too soon rather than think about moyo. The game just becomes an ugly mess in each corner. I hate ugly Igo;) The other area it is invaluable is the selection of joseki. It seems to me beginners need to systematically learn enough easy joseki at the beginning so they don`t get really bad habits playing anything and everything in the corners. But very good books like 38 basic joseki don`t tell you which are the most important. These lectures make it clear. There is a small error for the first life and death problem in the bottom left corner. Guo sensei says `can white play here?` but actually she means black. Thanks again, Brivati |
