Guo Juan's Internet Go School

From 2006, we have our students studied Go in a Go school, in China. All of our students had fantastic experiences with the great teacher Yan An 7p and the students from his Go school.
Since it has been such a successful event, we would like to offer to other western players also this great opportunity, to study Go in China.

The goal of this trip to China is to study Go, thus not sightseeing, although you will do some sightseeing in the only one day break per week.

So we only accept the students who are really eager to study Go and can handle the tough training.

When

Each year, from April 15th to January 15th of the following year.

You can choose your own arrival and departure dates within this time period.

* If you want to study there longer, we can also create a program for you, but you will need to contact us earlier so we may make extended arrangements.

The Program

1. Study Go at least 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.
2. Teacher Yan An 7dan pro will be with you the whole day. He will give you exercises and play teaching games, and review all of your games you played against the other students in the Go school.
3. Play at the Go school with other young Chinese students (they are really strong!).
4. Play teaching games with other teachers from the Go school.

The Price

550 Euros per month. This price is including: training fee, food and bed. Sightseeing during the breaks.

This price is not including your air tickets, visa and any other expenses. You will need to arrange your trip by yourself.

The teacher

Yan An 7dan professional is a famous teacher, he is also a very kind person. Here is some information about him:
Born in 1962. He learned Go at the age of 11. When he was 16 years old, he received training in the China National Team. He won third place in China 'Xin Xiu Cup' (new talented cup) in 1985. 4dan in 1982 and 7dan in 1989.
In 1999, he founded the Hui Bei (province) WeiQi Club, and in 2001 the Hu Bei Tian Yun Youth WeiQi Training Center. He has been successful in both playing and teaching Go.

He is a famous Go teacher in China now. He lives in Wuhan.

Where

Wuhan, Hubei province, China.

You can fly to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong or ChengDu, from these cities you can change planes or trains to Wuhan.

Student's age

Between 15 years and 35 years old.

Who can go?

We will choose our students carefully. We will have an interview before we make the decisions. Guo Juan will interview you herself. This can be done by Skype or Msn, or telephone.
