Guo Juan's Internet Go School
About Guo Juan's Internet Go School
In 1996 I attended the Berlin Go Tournament, where two German players told me: "We would like to take your lessons, but we are too far away from you. Pity!" This is how I started to teach online. Since then more than ten years have passed. My teaching through the internet has been very successful but I was facing another challenge: how to promote Go world wide? How to let more players benefit from a professional's teaching? Especially young players, the students who are enthusiastic about studying Go but without much money to pay for professional lessons? Now I am happy to tell you, my go friends, that we have found a way: The online audio Go teaching system. By using this system you will be able to take lessons at a cost of only ONE Euro per lesson!
I would like to thank Mr. Jean-Claude Chetrit, a long time friend, for his many good ideas. And thanks to Bill Shubert, the author of KGS, who has built this system. And of course I would like to thank the pros who are working with me to bring the lectures to a wider audience. Also thanks to my son, Wang Zi, who has built this website.
Since 2008, we are so lucky to have Claude Brisson, a wonderful new developer, working on our website. As a result of his excellent work, our new site has many new features, and Claude will be adding additional features in the future. My heartfelt thanks to Claude!
And finally, I would like to thank you all for supporting this new project!
Have fun!!!
Guo Juan
